I don't know how other people deal with those issue's that's just what I do, and it's not so bad. And I almost forgot to mention that's on 16 gb of ram, and I think allot of people make maps with 8gb and even 4. I think it's like I said earlier if you have the money to spend why not, but if you don't theres way's around doing things on a lower end machine. I'm putting 32gb of ram in my new computer, with space to make it 64 if I find I need it down the road though I'm not sure if thats overkill or not. It will be interesting to find out how you're new computer performs because it sounds very similar to what I'm building, only I'm getting AMD not Nivida for graphics.
What AMD graphics card are you getting? Are you using Photoshop or something else? I was going to get a different card, but was worried as to whether or not PS would be able compatible. Any thoughts on this?

I really don't know all that much about graphics cards, but apparently I'm getting The AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 which hasn't been released yet. The main programs that I'll be using are PhotoShop, zbrush, keyshot, and quixel, but my fiancé chose this card with gaming in mind so compatibility is something I'll have to look into.

I went to the adobe site, and it sais this about graphics card requirements....

The list of graphics processor cards above is updated as newly-released cards are tested. However, Adobe cannot test all cards in a timely manner. If your cards is not listed above, but meets the following requirements, you can assume that it works with the latest version of Photoshop CC:
•The card was released in the year 2014 or afterwards
•It has the minimum amount of graphics processor VRAM required for Photoshop (512 MB). 2 GB or more of VRAM is recommended, though.

The AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 will have 8gb of VRAM so I'm thinking it should be fine.

I didn't even realize that it matters to be honest until I read you're post so thanks for having me look into that.

I would recommend checking the system requirements of all the programmes you'll be using, adobe has a list of tested cards on there web site that are compatible, and those that are not.

I don't think you'll have to worry about compatibility with the graphic card - only that it has power enough to run PS - which most new cards will have I believe - just a question of how fast

I was going to go with a similar card as the one you just mentioned. What scared me was that I had read some threads about how PS utilizes the card and that some people had problems with "this and that". Nvidia seemed to be one that few had complaints with. However, some of those could have been older articles? I don't remember. I could get 8gb of Radeon for the 6gb I'd be getting with Nvidia...maybe even a couple bucks less...lol.

I use PhotoShop all the time on my surface tablet, it doesn't even have a proper graphics card and it works just fine, I wouldn't be all that worried about it, but it never hurts to check with adobe, they do have a list of some cards that aren't supported.
