    Default Cthulhu London - commission

This is a map I made of London in the 1950's for a client. It is for a Cthulhu campaign he's running.
It is all made in Photoshop.
    Hope you like it.

Really nice color palette, and so full of information, nice handling of the type.

    Hey Clercon

Great map! The faded colors look nice, and the street layout is very crisp and readable. This will serve nicely as a prop in an RPG. The only element that I don't fancy much is the tentacles. Their comic book style seems to me somewhat out of place with the map's overall style, but since this is because of the setting of RPG, I'll allow it.

I'm guessing that you did not create the street layout yourself, but maybe uses an online resource? If so, would you be willing to share that resource?

    Thanks in advance!

Nice map! The paper effect works really well, giving it ambience without lowering the legibility.

The map is wonderful and must have been a lot of work.

The road grid is stolen from google maps, or more specifically from a page called snazzymaps.com. There you can find different styles applied to google maps data. I used one with a good contrast (https://snazzymaps.com/style/72543/assassins-creed-iv). I then added the grid as a layer in Photoshop and worked from there. Had to remove some things that didn't exist in the 50's. I hope that helps.
