Whoah, that's pretty spectacular. I love the colors, and that's some of the best treething forests I've seen.
Hi fellow cartographers,
Here's a commission I finished a while ago for TTRPG author Logan Medved. Logan wanted to label it himself so you get a pretty barren map name wise but it's always best to see the little squiggly lines I drew I worked with TreeThing for the forests, the wonderful app designed by Ramah. The map was done in PS and you get half size file.

Great map Thom. Nice transition to the white on the parchment to the north and the trees look cool !

Beautiful - and all without having to draw a single tree by hand. Perfect
Free parchments | Free seamless textures | Battle tiles / floor patterns | Room 1024 - textures for CC3 | GUILD CITY INDEX
No one is ever a failure until they give up trying
Very nice Thomas. Those forests look great! You've also managed to fill in the map very nicely, even though it doesn't have any labels (:
Thanks a lot D ! Coloring is always a challenge for me, I'm glad it came out ok. I guess I can do better with TreeThing it was my first try and I need to adjust some things in my use of it. And the southern jungles are a bit too regular for my taste.
Thanks Rafal I also like the ice sheet. IT draws the eye but it's not too distracting from the rest of the map.
Thanks a lot Mouse but you're just a tad bit wrong on this I drew the individual tree brushes then used them in the app. They'll need some more details like shading and highlights the next time I use them.
Thanks Daniel The map having no colors, I needed to fill the terrain. At the time I was way less proficient in the terrain shading department so I kept it simple and drew instead
Thanks a lot Ilanthar I try to better something specific with each map, here it was the terrain shading. This map helped me a great deal for another one I'm working on with heavy shading. I hope to show it soon.
About the mountains, you're completely right, I'll make sure I do it not on the next map I work on.
Great work Thomas. I'm a bit bugged about the different linework thickness between the forests and the other parts of the map though.

Thanks Max and you're right. I struggled with TreeThing. I drew my brushes and tried to thicken their linework but the TreeThing treatment reduced it a bit. I'll have to get a better hold on the software.
