Default World Map - Unknown Name (Private Commission)

So I've got a private commission of a world map of five continents, and just now working on the second continent, and though I may post a final of all continents done. At this point, I'm posting the only finished continent of this commission - a crescent shaped, small continent, partly influenced by the High Elven home of Warhammer. The person asking for the commission wanted a close match to the WH version, but I insisted to change the coastal areas and general layout to do my version of it. This is in my photo-realistic style using Xara Designer Pro x11. Enjoy!

    Hey Gamerprinter

That's a pretty coastline, and I like the continent as a whole, but I'm not really sure about the way the bevel extends into the ocean. Maybe its just a style thing with me *shrug*.

Anyway - congratulations on your commission

    Thanks, Mouse.

The white bevel is underwater, essentially the continental shelf. At this point the ocean is just a place holder, as I have four more, larger continents to create with underwater topography as well. Once all done, I will composite all the continents, and create the ocean floor, seamounts, abyssal plains and deep trenches with stacked layers of transparent blue to create a sense of depth in water. I will add to each continents deep water topography joining the main sea floor. Since I haven't create the additional underwater topography, I can see how that bevel seems odd at this point.
