Looking for advice and critique of WIP map.

So I'm not very far along on this. I'm aware it likely isn't very good, but it is a first attempt. I've yet to add rivers, as I wanted advice first.

General info about what's going on in this screenshot - White is water, grey is land. Red shading indicates proposed mountains before cleanup, slightly orangish color represents proposed hilly terrain, green shading represents proposed forest area. I am going to clean that up a bit when I get to that stage, but first what I'm just curious as to the expert's opinions here.

Is it look too terribly busy? Do I have proposed terrain where it makes no sense? Where would you suggest placing the rivers (I know where they should start and where they should go in general but how do you think you'd go about it)?

Or if you don't feel like any of that, feel free to just tell me if it's okayish or awful and that i should start over.
