Very nice map. Looks dangerous to approach from the sea though. I'd hate to have to put into port anywhere on this map.

Wow, gorgeous work! The coastline is amazing. As Tonnichiwa says above, it looks quite treacherous but that creates a great dramatic impact. Colouring is lovely, and I'm glad you found TreeThing useful. I had a lot of fun playing with it too.

    Default Stunning. O.O

This is the literal first map I look at as a new member of this guild and wow. It's beautiful. The color scheme, the detail along the coast and with the river lay out and the trees and mountains; lovely spacing. Thank you for sharing! I hope I can make something half as beautiful soon.

Thanks a lot Tonni ! Glad you find it intimidating, the land was supposed to be inhospitable.

Glad you like it, CP The toothy coastline was really fun to draw, a bit long but fun. And belated thanks for TreeThing

Thanks a lot Vodkarok Look around and you'll see many maps much better than this one, I'm sure of it. The Guild is full of amazing artists. If you want pointers, go see J.Edward, Max, FrancescaBaerald, DanielHasenbos, Voolf, Ilanthar, Diamond, Abu Lafia, snodsy, Caenwyr, Warlin ... the list could go on and on for a long time

    Beautiful map. Love the palette.

A quick tip for TreeThing - you may be able to lessen the appearance that the trees are spaced and placed with a computer by darkening the area between them. You could even use your TreeThing template, as I do. It might mean you would have to lighten the colour of your trees somewhat - especially the jungles in the bottom part - but the shadowing between them would counteract that to some extent. In my opinion doing this helps to unify the trees as a forest rather than a bunch of individually placed trees.

What I usually do personally is take my TT template, make it all the same colour (if it has greyscaling) - usually a dark brown colour - and I put a large gaussian blur on it to get rid of the edges. Then I select my mask layer shapes and cut them from the template. Then just add it to the image with a blend mode. You may need to duplicate it. I also usually add a texture to the layer too but that is just to fit in with the artistic style I currently use.

Hope this helps and glad you like the program.
Royal: I'm very sorry for your loss, your mother was a terribly attractive woman.
