Beautiful as always. Here's something about this piece that makes me like it even more than he rest of the maps you've put out lately. Very nice!

    My apologies for late replies
    Got very sidetracked with work.
    Here goes round 1

Thanks Chashio Maybe I will. Might be a nice example to have.

Hmmm... I have some work to do! LOL!

Its more than repworthy, but you're working too fast for me to keep up again

I can still bookmark it for Atlas Award nomination, though
Hehe, well, maybe a bit more than a sketch.
    Thank you Mouse

Usually when I am sketching.. if I think I will be doing more to it afterwards, i have been sketching on loose pages of Neena paper which has a wonderful texture to it. When I got it, it was a low price add-on at amazon, but has since gone up. Sometimes I also sketch on Strathmore 300 series medium weight 9x12 which also has a nice texture and has a sort of creamy color.
I sketch lightly with a 2H pencil and then go back over it with a 2B lead technical pencil in places.
I do also sketch digitally. I use a Wacom Cintiq. Bought one years ago and just recently had to replace it.
I sketch differently depending on what the end result is to be. But sketching on actual paper is my preference.
I sit at a computer for far too long each day - it's nice to get away from my desk to sketch/draw.

Thanks JO Yeah, I do often do these without trees, but wanted to get into adding them more.
I have a client that I need to include some for, so this had a bit of motivational reason for it.

    Hehe, thank you Ilanthar
My hands have gotten used to a lot of torture.

Thanks Thomas I like that - a sense of danger. That's good, as this region does actually have some conflicts going on.
I will see what I can do regarding a sample.

Thanks Dan It is interesting to see which pieces motivate people more strongly.
It is often not what you would think.
