    Thanks for the compliments, guys.

E, I have heard of Blades, but never looked at it/played it. I don't have a local RPG group although I'd dearly love one. Unfortunately most of them seem to be made up of kids, which is awkward when you're in your 40s...

So simple, yet so great. I think my favorite thing about this map so far is... how it all fits together, I guess you could say? The font, simple, clean, thoroughly readable (name, plx?). The faded colors to indicate nation-states, muted yet very informative. The hairy worm mountains (). All of it, really. Can't wait to see the rest of the map filled with nice and juicy detail!

My turn to drool over your map ! *putting away my napkin*

Wonderful map, already . Once again, I'm hooked by your combination of colors/land shapes/names and the unique ambiance of your maps... Did you do the paper texture? It kinda give a "je-ne-sais-quoi" that works really well.

Thanks again! Daelin, the fonts are Urdu Typesetting (nation names), Vijaya (everything else).

Another update: now we've got an area of Ultimate Evil in the North, a pseudo-Gothic state in the far west (Kanthia), and some buffer states at both the western and eastern edges of the Empire. I revised the outer borders into something more simple, but I'm still not convinced it's right. I do like the info cartouches though.

Minor issue, and it might be just me, but in-my-humble-opinion those two boxes, looking exactly the same, become a little strange to the eye and don't fit well with the available space either.

Agreed. I think I'll keep the Key box and do something different up top for the title.

This is really nice, your subtle handling of the borders, text, line weights and desert pattern works so well, and those Mountains!!!!
