beautifull work!!!
This has been WIP (here) for quite a while so this is about as finished as I have time for now!
In my world of Helevos the Anrel Isles are the mythic homeland of humanity, descendants of the Godmen who fell to earth from the stars thousands of years ago. The Godmen tamed the native, "virid" ecosystem which is toxic to human life, driving it back to the wilds and mountains, planting a rich "green" landscape, a garden paradise for humankind. Since the fall of the Godmen, the isles have seen the rise and fall of uncounted civilisations, the landscape littered with ruins and the scars of war.
The Orphans War, though over for four centuries, killed much of the population and now the virid wilds are creeping back, corrupting the fields of men.

beautifull work!!!
Wow it feels and looks so real, I would love to see more of the planet these islands are on.
I love the use of opacity and layers to keep this old look of paper! It gives a whole other reading of the map! And congratulations for precision!
Lovely work. I could easily see this in a printed Atlas or Encyclopedia.

Perfectly drawn - to OS standards, even.
The only thing I'm not keen on is the yellow shading, but that's just a personal pov
I should explain myself about the yellow (sorry to be boring). The yellow isn't sharp like a lemon or lime, and nor is it eye-scorchingly bright like a yellow alert sign - which is one half of the eternal yellow problem solved (you are in no way alone - I have exactly the same problem myself whenever I use yellow, and spend several hours nudging it this way and that till I get it just right). The other half of the yellow problem is having it too dark in comparison with the other colours of the map.
If you imagine a rainbow for just a second and fix it in your mind's eye, the blue/indigo part is always the darkest part, and the yellow is always the palest part, with the reds and greens being somewhere half way between the two extremes. This is just the way the spectrum appears to our human eyes.
Bearing that in mind, where you have the orange and the green about the same tone as each other they look perfectly correct and balanced - neither being very much lighter or darker than the other - as if they were part of the very same spectrum image, but the yellow, if it appeared in the same spectrum as the orange and green, would look out of place because its so very dark compared to the orange and green. If you made it about 30-40% more transparent than it currently is, it would probably look a lot better - a lot like it comes from the same spectrum and is therefore in harmony with the other two political shades of the map.

Thanks so much for your feedback!
You are in luck I have an album of my Helevos maps here, including a world map and some cities, a lot of it still in progress. I've been working on a website and always intended on doing a proper Guild introduction to my work but never managed.
Thanks! Actually you made me notice the founding dates are wrong!
I did a lot of tinkering with the colours, it's tricky. I think the yellow looks off because it's the region with the largest amount of virid forest with that greenish shading. Ah well.
