That's a beautifully clear map you have drawn of it - certainly rep-worthy.
The Crown of Aragon
A while back I was commissioned by author Edith Scott to map the Kingdom of Aragon in 1480. The first map shows the Crown of Aragon on the Iberian peninsula and the second map shows it's dominions around the Mediterraneum.

I think it's beautiful! I really like these style of maps. I've been trying for about a year to do one myself but I just cannot seem to get anything right in doing it. You've done this one really well

A very simple style, minimal information, but the maps are very beautiful, very consistent!
Very nice map. Though it's important to distinguish the Kingdom of Aragon from the Crown of Aragon: the former being a sovereign realm, the latter being a collection of separate legal states in personal union with the kings of Aragon.

Amazing job ! The maps are simple and clean and I could tell at first sight that those were Daniel's maps (not only because of your signature font). They're beautiful ! A little question. On the first map, some mountains are slightly transparent. Is it something you wanted ? If it is, is there a precise reason ?

Thank you Robulous! Good that you bring that up! I didn't know there was a difference and I'll certainly keep it in mind for future commissions. I think that for this map it doesn't matter, since even the smaller one shows different kingdoms that are part of the Crown of Aragon. The only thing that might be strange is that in the second map it also says: and Dominions. Oh well, this commission has been finished and published already, so there's nothing I can do about it now...
Thanks Thomas! Always nice to hear that I've got a recognizable style ;D The transparent mountains were, indeed, done on purpose. This way I was able to slightly hint at how the border's run behind the mountains. Perhaps for future maps I could simply make them go over and behind the mountains, though it might look cartoon-ish. thank you Thomas!
