I love the top style! It fits really well with the rest of the map.
Ok.... based on the fact that I have a knack for picking the one everyone else HATES! (LOL!) I prefer the top one, which probably means the bottom one is the way to go

Well, I'm just going to be confusing and say, of those two samples, I like the top one more but I think the bottom one has more potentialThe top one fits quite well, as Josiah said, but it does look a little too much like a mossy lump, in my opinion. Maybe you could make it a bit more broken up or varied? Alternatively, with the bottom one, I think the tiny trees works, but they'd need to be tinier and much much more numerous. That's what I mean when I said more potential.
Overall I really like the style of this map: those mountains are fantastic, and remind me of TheRedEpic's style

New attempt.
I simply wasn't happy with any of the styles. So I went for something different.
It still needs some work - adding more trees, correcting overlapping elements.
I do like the symbols on the map. But why does the continent have such a squareish shape?
