Very pretty style, I like the continental shapes!
I don't have a name for my world yet. I'm sure at some point I will. I don't feel right starting as a new GM in a world that I know very little about... and instead of doing a bunch of research on an existing world, I wanted to create my own with its own geography, cultures and mysteries.
This is going to be an extremely daunting project for me, and I can't really share my development of my world with my friends/players because I want them to be able to explore it, so I figured I would chronicle my progress here and maybe get some feedback from others.
I don't have much artistic talent, so I started off creating my world with Hexographer... but found out it's a lot of work.

I decided partway through that I wanted something more than a hex map... I figured I would try my hand at using what I built in hexographer and continue building the world with GIMP. As a photoshop guy in the past, this gives me a great opportunity to learn nuances of GIMP.
Again, like i said I don't have much artistic talent so I am building my world up from brushes created by others. Hopefully with enough time and creativity I can create something that satisfies me enough.

I think I've finalized my mountain ranges. Still need to go through and add hills around the ones I haven't done so yet, and then start creating some of my non mountainous hilly regions.
I've also created some barrier islands across the map in various spots along the coastline.

Added hills to the rest of the mountain ranges, and some hilly areas in general. Playin around with a badlands region in the south as well. Going to have to learn to draw some canyons and ravines which should be interesting.
Again, the badland craggy areas are very much someone elses brushes. I forget the artists name but I will remember and put credit up in the first post at some point.
