Now that's starting to really look amazing. The shading adds a lot.

Out of interest, how'd you do the texture?

Thank you! I place a paper or dirt texture over the map.

Wow! That's really beautiful... and I can't understand how I managed to miss this thread until now!

There is only one thing niggling at my mind - the clouds seem quite detailed and rather a lot closer than I expect them to seem. Maybe take the line work out of them altogether, and use sky coloured shading to fuzzily suggest their form?

Or... maybe its just me being fussy because I'm incredibly envious of your beautiful art

Wonderfully done so far. A lot of promise in this one.

The back mountains having no detail whatsover is the only real thing that kept drawing my attention away. But, the rest is great. Keep up the good work

Thank you, Mouse! I've made the line art for the clouds brighter, I think this improved them.

Thank you, XCali! I only added subtle shading to the backward mountains - atmosphere and distance obscuring more details.

    Thank you!

I'm now have to decide what kind of symbols I use for the settlements. I also tried a darker colour for the water bodies.

It just keeps getting better and better

    Clouds look great!

I love the new water colour - maybe darker again right at the bottom where the water is deeper offshore?

This is great, I just noticed from the thumbnails you've got a kind of fisheye lens sort of effect going on and it makes it look even better.
