I can only imagine a 900 m rise with some comets crashing on earth but that's a real nice view. I'll need to learn from you as I'd like to do a 12000 BC map of the mediterranean basin. Super boulot une fois encore !

And it could happen - if we were hit by a few hundred comets. I mean, there's a theory that a lot of the ocean water we have today resulted from comet strikes that happened in the early days of our solar system

About the increase of sea level, i've read that a huge quantity of water is present in the mantle of our planet (3 times the quantity of our ocean).
In his Flood/Ark books the author Stephen baxter imagine what would happen if all that water came out of our planet mantle.

If it was to come from space, you'd need a very large quantity of ice to make sea rise that much. 70m is what you get if all the ice melts. Antarctica counts for about 60m.
So you need 14 times the ice from the continent to reach 900m in theory.

That's 371 000 000 cube kilometers or 1,8 million times the size of Chicxulub that wiped out dinosaurs.
