    Ok, it just crashed.

    But it seems to work.
    The secondary star was about 3AU from the Sun or more or less 450 000 000 km, that's closer than Jupiter.
    There was plenty of room for the planet to orbit around the small star.
    The software only tells me the average temperature of the planet, not in a particular region.
    The revolution around the star was just a few days and temperature fluctuates moderately.
    When the planet is located between the 2 stars, it's hotter and colder when it is further away from the main star.
    The variation was about 10 or 12 degrees Celsius. That seems a bit high but you knows.
    So the Sun does play a non negligible role on the planet climates even at that distance.
    The part facing away from the red dwarf would face the Sun and could have temperatures close to the freezing point, maybe above.
    That would make that side much less inhospitable.

    Another test. The planet orbits at 7m km from the red dwarf and it takes about 11 days to make a full revolution. Could round it down to 12, 4 days for each season
    The star is based on Wolf 359, a somewhat small red dwarf, but nothing wrong with it.
    The problem is the tendency to have flares which emits nasty stuff like gamma ray.
    Wikipedia tells me that it mostly happens right after the star birth. So it only last about 1 billion years. Barely a heartbeat for a red dwarf.

    And in case you wonder, the planet can't have a moon.

    What do you guys think about this compass? Does it make sense? It would be centered right in the middle of the map, right under the zenith of the sun.

    Oh that is so cool... and so downright confusing - both at the same time

    but do tidally locked planets automatically point their poles at the star?

    They can't point their poles at the sun because being tidally-locked means that they rotate around their axis once every time that they rotate around their primary. The rotational axis of the planet should remain relatively stable in terms of the overall system orbital plane.

    In this case, I think that the "S" means "Sunny", while the "N" means "Not-Sunny".

    Yeah, it's not meant to be magnetic north/the actual pole. South would mean 'sun', while north is 'away from sun', like Waldronate says. East and west would still be directional, but describing a circular motion, not horizontal. I'd just have to come up with alternate names for the directions that make sense.

    a locked planet DOSE rotate
    one rotation per year
    -- a 1:1 orbital ratio

    the north pole would be the same as the stars northpole

    for instance the subsolar point would be o latitude and for ease likely 0 longitude also

    this is caused by the LAWS of physics ( orbital mechanics )
