You always draw nice mountains, Voolf

I can see that I'm going to have to give it a go, though I doubt I will be able to make mine look as dreamy as yours.

Hi Voolf I'm new around here and still wandering around a little half dazed from the sheer talent being posted.

Just wanted to chime in and say stunning work on those mountains, the lines are gorgeous and very reminiscent of Jonathan Roberts work.

    love Love LOVE!

I had a quick swing over to your completed work too and your style is a real a feast for the eyes. Following this one unfold for sure.

In time you will, but the longer you wait with the practice the longer it takes :/

    Thank you Pagan.
Yes, it is hard to hide that i got my ispiration from Jonathan's work. His maps made a huge impression on me and it was a trigger to zealously pursuit map drawing skill.
Yet now, when i am a member of this guild, i have found so many beautiful maps here in many styles made by different people. It is both wonderful and overwhelming, because i want to learn that all, but time is so short :/.

Hi Voolf. I fully understand your motivation as it's one that I share I'm sure if Mr Roberts were to see your work he'd be incredibly honored (I know I would be). It's great work.

Regarding time being so short = SO true. But the journey is often more important than the destination (says the person who joined the guild to run full tilt into getting his world map going only to go cascading down the VERY DEEP rabbit hole of Plate Tectonics...now THAT is a journey i was not really expecting to take...LMAO)

I can not disagree with that . I wish us both the most unexpected (in a good way) journey here

This looks really good! I'm jealous of your mountains, but even moreso of the forest you have there. I have been trying for over a year to get that same sort of effect by hand but it's just not working out, resulting in most of my maps being very obviously computer-made and me not posting them Definitely want to see where this one goes!

I know, i have been there, i know the frustration when you try and try and it just doesn't work out like it suppose to. All i can say is keep practicing and don't give up. Try doing tutorials of how to draw mountains and trees (not necessarily for maps).

Last update untill next weekend i think.
I put everything on a texture and made darker colours for both water and land. White glares when you look at it for too long .

As others have said already, those mountains are beautiful.
I am not a fan of that particular forest-style, but i think your version of it is the most pleasing i have seen so far.

Looking forward to more progression on this. It looks very promising already!

Looks great Voolf, I love the mountains, it seems like you get better and better at them each time.
