I think with the general styling of the map the flat unshaded ones work better.

I vote lollipop trees. To me they kind of just 'go' with the rest of the style.
(and you know what that means, don't you? Everyone else will prefer the fluffy trees)

I think I kinda prefer the second version, somehow. Concerning the trees, I like the shaded ones, they goes better with your shaded mountains imho.
I like the shaded trees better, but... the flat unshaded ones seem to fit the other style elements better.
Difficult issue it seems.
I tried two other styles - I'm not sure if the people of this land would depict a dense forest with single trees.
The drawings are really helping get the feel of the world right, great addition.
I think the unshaded version of the dense forest works better for the map style, but still think the single trees look better overall, though I have to agree I doubt they'd represent forest or jungle that way.
Ohhhh, I really like the unshaded/north of the mountains forest there! It's got my vote.
