Default WIP - The Known World - River/Precipitation Help Request

    Hey there guys,

So I started working on this new map, using a fractal generator to get my elevations and what have you.

The thing is I don't fully understand how rivers flow, and rain shadow and all that, so I am turning to all of you for help.

Can someone help me figure out where the rivers go, where the rains will fall and where will be more arid?

Any and all help is welcome and if someone really can assist by marking up the map, I'll figure out some sort of compensation.

    Cheers!Known World Map - TOPO.jpg

If you have generated a height map and want to add rivers to it the easiest way to do that in a realistic manner is to run the image through Wilbur. There's a number of tutorials for Wilbur both on this site and the Wilbur site itself.

I hear that, but this is only image I have. How would I generate a height map from it?

I am open to this, but learning a whole new program may take time I just don't have available at present.

Hence my willingness to pay someone to do this for me

Not being lazy, just am really really busy.

Move to here for a paid commission.

    Cheers!
