Thread: Felimage for Gimp on MacOS X?

Question Felimage for Gimp on MacOS X?

    Hey all

I'm a beginning-level mapper and have been playing around with Giide's GIMP version of Ascension's Atlas Style Map Tutorial, which I found in the Tutorials in PDF Format thread. I'm using GIMP 2.8.

Step 33 of the tutorial calls for use of something called Felimage, which I don't have in my version of GIMP. A quick Google of the terms shows that it's a GIMP plug-in. I run GIMP on Mac OS X, and I have not been able to find anything that looks like a version of this that will run on my Mac.

Can any of you tell me whether such a beast exists, and if not, what am I supposed to be accomplishing in this step of the tutorial? Do you have suggestions on how to get there some other way? Sorry for being such a newb.

    tbgg

seeing as it is from 2005
    https://sourceforge.net/projects/fim...Gimp%20plugin/

on the current gimp -- you do not ( maybe )
the source should build on a Apple Mac Operation system( from 2005 ) and antique gimp 2.0

with some hacking it dose build on Linux , seeing as apple is BSD based OS it might build with homebrew ??? maybe

I don't exactly what does that plugin (about noise, non?), you could perhaps try the G'MIC plugin (http://gmic.eu/) as a workaround ?
