Must spread some rep. It's very nice!
Hey folks,
Here's a map I finished in May and had forgotten to post. It's for a novel by author M. J. Scoggins who was a delight to work with. It's called "Elemental" and it's scheduled to be released in winter 2018. Here's here website.
The map is under Creative Commons Licence and I'm working, on and off on a color version (I'll have to find time to finish the border) as practice.
Here it comes, as always, feel free to critic and comment.

Very Nice Thomas, I don't like much the archipelago shape, but great job with everything else, expecially the forests!

Very nice Thomas!
Beautiful map, Thomas
I'm not totally convinced by the archipelago either, but it doesn't really stand out on its own - it fits with the map. I wouldn't have noticed it if no one had mentioned it
Well drawn!
(And not a strange animal pattern in sight! )

Impressive work, Thomas! That's one massive forests. Jarueen seems a bit flat, compared to the rest of the map? But I guess that's intentional. Great work!
Thanks Chashio
Grazie mille Tom ! The archipelago had to be some kind of fractured maze (he looks way better with color, I made a bookmark with it) and the forests were a bit heavy to get through
Merci beaucoup Julien That's the spirit about the archipelago ! For the frame, always trust your geometry skills Here again, I want the color version to be blood and gold, we'll see if it looks good or not.
Thanks kacey
Thanks a lot Sue About the archipelago, read above. About the animals ... you sure ? (I'm kidding, there are none)
Thanks Daniel It's massive indeed. You are right, the client wanted blank spots for Jarveen and the archipelago so that the focus stays on the main land.
It was a pleasure to work with you, Thomas! I am so incredibly in love with this map. It captures everything about my world that I wanted it to, and I will be so proud to use it in my novel.
Best of luck to you!

A wonderful map, especially well suited for the interior of a novel. You've managed to create clean linework that, in the absence of much shading (sans the mountains) gives the impression of depth and texture. Really like those triangular mountains, very nice look. Great work!
