I can't believe the amount of work you put into those mountains; your dedication really shows.

Thanks a lot Diamond ! I cannot resolve myself to using predrawn and shaded mountains. That's painful at times but the client gets his money's worth

The general shading is also very well done, imho . Will you add some details to the forests?
Apart from my (usual) nitpick about the rivers, it looks great and I'm waiting for the parchment .

Thanks Ilanthar About the rivers, you'd make them less bright, that's it ?

Yup, to make them pop a bit more (even if you're nice shading is already underlying them) .

I tried to tweak it but couldn't find a color that satisfied me more

I added some small features : cat shadow for the forests, a huge canopy that does wonders on the forests, it grounds them more.

Unless the client wants some modifications, I'd say the map is done.

    To do list :
    - title box or parchment
    - labels
    - icons

    And it'll be done.

    Gorgeous map Tom!
I really like the right side, that forest is awesome.
The "canopy" you added enhance the forests.
And off course, still a big fan of your colors!

What about doing an oh-so-subtle inside stroke on the rivers? I mean like one pixel, and turn the opacity down to like 10 or 20%. That way you could keep the color you like (which does look nice), but still make the rivers pop a little.
