Great work! This map has a ton of charm, and that's a great back story, too. Coffee and catapults - a great combination.
Hello all,
I began this piece as a prop for a Dungeons and Dragons game I play in and decided to try to finish it in time for the recent lite challenge city/town mapping contest. Obviously that didn't even come close to happening, but it did get finished!
For background, our party came upon the opportunity to buy a decrepit old keep at the confluence of two rivers, and, enterprising souls that we are, transformed it into a coffee plantation (along with some other cash crops...) and siege weapons workshop for nearby towns. Red Scale Inc. (named after our patron Red Dragon, Klauth) is the fruits of our labor.
Hope you enjoy!

Nice map. The light and shadow work along the cliffs is well done. Linework is neat as well. I think the stroke and drop-shadow on the text in your key is a bit too heavy though. The labels I think would have been clearer and easier to read without the drop-shadow. Love the background on this - you guys are an enterprising party.
Cheers,

Superb map and I'll have to second arsheesh, the highlights on that cliff are masterfully applied !
Great concept and great map!
