This is looking really good now, Omri

I do agree with Tenia on the new compass and scale bar, though

    Help Labels! Noooooooooo! Hehe. :P

    Hi everyone.

Hmmm, for this one I enlarged the Compass and moved the lettering on the scale.

Beyond that, I started adding labels... *Stares around in paranoia and jumps at every sound* Can I run off now? Labels are scary! It's like fumbling around in the dark.

    Anyway, it's the first attempt.

    Nice work Xcali!
I think that coordenates should be better outside the compass.

    Hey XCali!

This is turning out to be a really cool map! In fact, there's only one suggestion I can make.

If you were working in CC3+, I would tell you a light glow effect behind your labels would make them stand out a bit more. But you aren't using cc3+ (I don't think), so all I can tell you is that your black lettering is kind of fading into your bluish grays and your browns... with the exception of the fancy lettering for Hunter's Fall. Now someone with perfect eyesight may not see a difference... but someone like me, who's vision either gives me ghost images, or fade outs (if colors blend too well), I can't really see your labels all that much. With the simple, thin line lettering, they need something to help them stand out, just a bit.

    Discuss Labels tweak ;)

    Hi, everyone,

This time, I just tweaked the labels a bit. So, here are two versions of it. I would appreciate if you tell me which one works best.

    Now comes the crazy part:

I only have fragments of the next three days to alter anything on this map. I'm leaving for the holidays on Thursday morning and then I'm completely away from my Desktop PC to alter anything from this map. So, any suggestions, if there are any, must come in the next few days.

Thank you so much for the feedback and encouragement so far! I really appreciate it. *High Five*

    Here are the two versions:

I actually find that the text stands out fine without extra contrast, so I prefer the blue glow against the mountains and the brown glow against the ground.

I agree - blue on blue, and brown on brown

    Question Storm Tower

In the great sandstorm, all that is visible is a hint of a tower.

    Hehe,

A little experiment. Let me know Yay or Nay.

Also, I changed the colors to reflect their surroundings as suggested.

They now stand out just enough that if I study them a moment, I don't get the fade out. My issue is astigmatism in both eyes... they are football shaped instead of orb shaped. It causes ghost images, almost double vision with high contrast stuff, and low to no contrast, it all blends together... The eye doctors recognize the ghost imaging(double vision) but the 'blending fade out' has them stumped. Over here, at least, they've never heard of it. So they don't know what to do about it. My glasses help...

Anyway, sorry for the rant, I'm just trying to explain the problem I'm having with your labels are probably just me. If others can see them, don't worry about my issue

I'm hearing you. Though, I'm not exactly sure how to go about fixing it. As I can't perceive the problem myself, I don't know how to fix it. Does it need to be a different color, thicker font, or what do you suggest I do?
