I really love the style, just wish it wasn't sideways. You really can't go wrong with that look though, IMO. I like it!
This is a project that I've absolutely fallen in love with, and I hope to make it as great as possible. Any opinions? Thoughts? (it is sideways, so sorry)

I love a good handdrawn map! Good job on keeping all the writing crisp and legible, even in the denser areas. Is that the paper you drew it on, or a paper texture? It looks quite nice.
Love the flavor. Reminds me a lot of the maps in fantasy novels back when i was young ^^
Care to tell us a bit about your novel and the world the map is depicting? I'm always curious

This is lovely work. It looks fab against the parchment background. I love the clean style and the splash of colour in the icons.

Thanks! I'm glad you all like it. To answer a few questions though, I made this map on a piece of parchment like paper. I regret that I don't actually know what it is since I just grabbed a bunch of this stuff when my church was about to throw it out. A little about the story, It takes place in the far northern reaches of the Azan-Kal Empire (the entity that spans the entire north and most of the east of the map). The empire has always held its borders at a mysterious mountain pass that chewed up whatever force or party was sent through. Finally, a mysterious people begins attacking the northern Kals (a military district) and the council that rules the empire cant allow this. The most skilled mage in the whole empire, Rezan Annor, and his young apprentice, Avrian Colstan (my user name's origin). The two must find a way to defeat the mysterious invaders or else the empire may have a bigger problem on its hands! Full of magical hijinks, daring adventure, and humor so dry you could get dehydrated by a single pun. I'm entitling it: To Become a Wizard
