    Map Cadurca

Here's the second map I worked on after discovering the Guild (and my second post in that sub forum today), finally finished (the first one is still a WIP). After a long while, I realized, it only needed a title and labels. You can find the hesitating WIP here.

It shows a world where the waters have been tainted by a powerful witch living in the Unland and protected by eels, snakes and moray eels. The civilization living on the land is gaulish/celtic.

That's the first map on which I worked on the shallow waters this way and also the first map where I shaded the terrain this heavily. The novelty for me was working on the lettering for the title. It's a combination of fonts and lots of work inspired by the magnificent titles of J.Edward. Some context might come later.

    Behold Cadurca !

I love this. Usually, my attention goes to the lineart and details, but here it's the whole composition and colour scheme. It just leaps off my screen. Fantastic job, Thomas!

I'm so pleased to see this one finished - and with its own completely unique and very attractive style.

I like the clouds very much, even though I agree with Voolf

Wow Thom this is really impressive work! That red sea really stands out against the muted brownish color scheme. The clouds look really cool as well! The title looks great, nice execution of the J.E. style. All around fantastic piece.

Damn, you're even able to finish your old projects! This one was very appealing from the start, but this last version is just superb!
The color palette makes it a unique piece.
