Sure then . For some reason I found painting the woods oddly satisfying. Well, at least now I'm more geared up to digitally paint other maps with GIMP...

Nice map! You've done a good job of using the names, and the little castle illustration is a nice touch.

    Hi MMM,

Really nice map, I especially like the mountains and forests - two areas that I have huge problems drawing...

Just a small note, are you aware that you have cut off the right hand side slightly?

Thank you for the compliment Tonquani! And yes, I do know some of the border's cut off - scanner's fault, or mines, I guess. But it's too late to change that, I suppose. At least all the landmass is visible!

BTW Tonquani, I'm guessing you probably already know it, but if you're struggling with mts and forests you should have a look at Fantastic Maps. It teaches all sorts of useful tutorials - I learnt a lotbfrom there!

This is really lovely work, MMM. I can't add a whole lot to what everyone else has said, but I do have one suggestion: what about emphasizing the title banner slightly? Like maybe coloring in a faint shadow underneath it to separate it just a bit from the main map? It may not turn out great, but it might be worth experimenting with anyway...

Thank you Diamond! And es, that's what I'd been thinking about the banner. It just looks out of place. I'll try and experiment with it to see what I can do about that....
