I loved her fantasy books but I didn't know she wrote sci-fi.
It's a sad day indeed.

This a sad day for the Sci-Fi world. I was fortunate enough to meet her briefly back in my high school days and will miss our grandmother of science fiction.

Yes. I should have noted her work in fantasy as well. Just kind of bummed out right now. She was one of early favorites. Let us all hope she rests in peace.

A wonderful woman for sure. A Wizard of Earthsea is the first fantasy book I ever read.

No one is ever a failure until they give up trying
I re-read A Wizard of Earthsea in my forties and it still held me as spellbound as it did as a twelve year old.
"Mind is Emergent of Matter"
I have read some of her fantasy novels and really enjoyed it. I was curious to see what book she was going to write next, but now I know there will be no more. When a writer dies, it's like whole worlds sinking under the sea. Who knows what other worlds and stories she had in mind and not yet written?
May she rest in peace.
Oh sh.. I remember The Left Hand of Darkness
It is a sorrowful thing.
