Default Tún Vareg - City Map

I felt like doing a city map for fun. Between commissions and failing spectacularly at the january challenge I just want to draw something without any pressure from other people or my own expectations. This is going to be a city but in something like the style of my Tilvarel map, although obviously on a different scale. The city is going to be based the one in Tilvarel that is on the lake shore in the top right corner. The first picture is a detail from that Tilvarel map that I'm using as a guide. The second is a WIP detail of the new map, the north-west corner of the city.

It looks promising. Also, two things :

1- You need to finish your challenge piece ! No pressure, take your time but, please, finish it !
2- You need (more like I need you) to advertise more. I just saw that you have a RPGNow shop where I'll go grab some shiny gems in the next few days. No kidding, seeing those marvels for sales makes me as happy as a pigeon with a french fry !

Ad 1) I don't think I will, at least not for a long time. Right now I can barely look at the thing, much less work on it. I really need a kind of pet project that is just for fun. At the moment, the challenge map isn't fun at all, I'm afraid. Sorry.
Ad 2) Hahaha! XD Yeah, advertising ... Not a skill that comes naturally to me.

'nuther update. I am having a lot of fun with this one.

This is looking really good. Can't wait to see it finished.

Seems to me like this piece is a somewhat genetically related to the volcano you drew for mapvember. I really like where you're going.

I love your maps from back when I was a nameless lurker Blaidd! Especially inspiring that you draw them by hand! And you didn't fail at the challenge, you just didn't finish your map!

You're right! I'm amazed you remember it.

Hehehe, thanks. But finishing is the only real requirement, isn't it?

    More sketchiness and fiddling:
