Welcome to the challenge. Nice start, and interested to see what you do next.
Hi all,
Loved the idea of this months challenge, plus it's a great place to learn, practice and receive critique on methods. So time for me to give it a go!
The prophecy I got was: "In the Forest of Madness, when the wound is healed, the Tree of Oaths shall be found"

Getting there slowly but surely, squeezing one or 2 hours of mapping in per day whilst at work
I'm interested to see how this will develop.

Only small amendments made today,
Need to find a way to portray the metaphorical wound which is being healed between the two previously warring cities on the right of the map.

Latest changes attached, added a large body of water, recoloured the central river & added a pattern.
I'm really loving the Asian style you have going on here. Its something I've been wanting to do for a while but couldn't get right. Cheers!
Yeah, I dig it too. Those mountains are great.
Thanks both, having a great time learning & experimenting through this challenge.
I'm trying to hunt down some old maps drawn in the Qing dynasty to give me an idea of the style the had, so far I've found that they had an great inclination to draw artistic impressions of landscapes rather than maps as such, but nonetheless, they are some great bits of inspiration & guidance.
I really need to stop playing around with the little bits like calligraphy and get down to mapping the terrain.
