What a beautiful map, and what a lovely idea to dig it out and show it in honour of Le Guin.
I like that you have your own take on the land shape, and haven't just mindlessly copied the official maps!
After hearing of Le Guin's passing I remembered a map I drew up a few years back for a Science Fiction professor I had. The Left Hand of Darkness is my favorite novel of hers and I enjoyed the physical descriptions and environments that exist on the planet Gethen.
This map is mechanical pencil on sketch paper (medium surface/heavy weight).
I spent some time researching other versions of Gethen maps. Some were political, geographical, or zoomed in on specific locations in the novel. The few that were world maps, specifically Milan Dubnicky's from 2009, were great and gave me some good ideas of how to create the map (check here: http://www.ursulakleguin.com/LHoD-GethenMap-Czech.html and here: http://www.ursulakleguin.com/Index-Maps.html).

Lovely work, and a fitting tribute.

good author and a very nice map sketch.
Beautiful tribute, and great demonstration of what you can do with simple tools. Lovely work with just a pencil!
Ah shucks, I hadn't realized that Le Guin had passed. Anyway very cool piece.
