    Map Stromwold

Done for a private client; a world covered by demonic clouds, with the last outposts withdrawn to the high peaks and airships travelling across cloud paths.

Great job on this - possibly one of my favorite B&W maps ever. The horizontal + vertical effect repeated over and over again with the clouds and mountains is great.

    Right into my inspiration folder.

Great job Wired. I really like the mountains. reminds me a bit of Jared Blando style. Really nice.

Super nice map ! I love how readable it is, with towns and roads easy to identify over that incredible background.
I just don't want to imagine how much time you needed to draw all those clouds !

Thanks, Voolf. Those were indeed inspired by Jared's mountain style as I thought these less harsh forms would mix better with the cloud cover.

Actually not really that much time; it's a lot of simple forms, then you simply select them all, contract the selction by one pixel and fill it with white.

That's a very neat map. Well done. I like the idea behind it as well.

It's just excellent! I love it . I can't help myself to think how it would look colored, though (and I confess I indeed see it colored with Jared Blando's palette somehow).

Great work on this Wired, this is a lovely piece. There's a lot of line work going on in this piece, but nothing feels chaotic or cluttered, and everything is actually very easy to read. Great job! (:
