As you can see, I'm being very original with the title.

Dunno if I'll have time to finish it, dunno if I won't wreck it completely but I'm finally gonna try seriously : I'm pulling a Thurian ! ... Ok, baby steps as I'll just map a portion of a globe (as I've tried here) but still ! And deepest apologies to our Golden Lord Stevenson for my blasphemy.

I'm gonna do it the old fashion way : a sheet of paper size A3 and a single pen. The whole map will be drawn with my Kuretake soft brush n°13 ! That's not gonna be easy but that'll teach me how to correctly apply pressure ... the punition will be there in an instant as I'll wreck the job. I've already wrecked one so, we'll call it the sketch :

jshoer kindly suggested on twitter that I add a black space to it and, while I'm not sure I'll do it, I like the idea. I'll also have to be careful with the lighting and I do not think I'm ready to label the map by hand, the names of our esteemed fellow mapmakers will be added digitally.

Looking real nice and you're definitely captured that Thurian epic vibe already. Looking forwards to seeing more!

I'm so glad you got that vibe with just the thumbnail I've just finished a commission and will probably go down on this map tomorrow for the pencil work. Inking is gonna take longer I guess ...
