My 1st competition entry, so if I get some naming convention wrong or anything else, please let me know. This is also my very first map of a land mass, very much inspired by the guilds many other contributors (to many to mention), but many thanks to them all for making an old man happy again.

I have used Photoshop and a range of digital painting techniques in order to produce my 'Lands of Salsadine' map, so hope you like.

The map looks very nice and I love the bright colors, but it's very difficult - if not impossible - to read the names. Do you have a bigger version? If the labels should be readable at this size I think you would need some other font and/or a bigger font size.

Hi Jeremy, this is really nice, great colours and I really like the compass rose.

Just a couple of issues. This seems like quite a low resolution image, and I can't see the text clearly. Also, the black and white blocks on the frame are slightly out. They should be completely symmetrical.

Other than that, from what I can see this looks really good.

Many thanks for the comments. I have uploaded a larger image, and hope this is easier to read. Tonquani, I have tried to adjust the block on the edges of the map, but don't really know how to make them so that they are the same and balanced around the border. Any help here would be gratefully received.

The colors are very eye-catching and I love the compass. This is wonderful for your first map of a land mass!

    Many thanks aeshnida,

I made it in Illustrator, from a image of one on an old map I found on my trawling on the internet, (oh boy can I get distracted from work trawling the net). A bit simpler than the original, but I am pleased with it.
