Nice to see you have made some progress, the inking looks good.
I see you have my nice little Hobbit village. ( Bogie is the name for the Hobbits in National Lampoon's "Bored of the Rings" )
Unfortunately I don't have a scanner, but I hope I can scan it at work when the map is finished.

LOL!
Lovely inking work, and I had to giggle at the Mouse and Mousetail rivers

Nice work on this. I envy those who can do pen and paper work like this
Never heard of that, so I looked it up. Sounds quite funny. Perhaps I should change the appearance of the village.
Glad you like my rivers. It was a spontaneous idea when I was wondering how to include your name.
Thanks, Straf! The envy is mutual as I'd like to be able to do such amazing digital maps as yours.
That's really gorgeous! It makes me want to spend more time working with paper, pencil, and ink.
Thanks, aeshnidae! I want to spend more time working with paper, pencil and ink as well. I loved working with it as a teenager and now I don't know why I stopped drawing several years ago.
Here is another update. I messed up with the ink in some places ... Perhaps I can retouch it in Gimp in the final version.

Are you meaning that little blot in the northeastern portion of the map? If so it might give the whole map a little more character if you can somehow leave at least a little hint of it and maybe a few others, especially if you are going to layer this over a parchment texture. It might really add to the hand-drawn approach.

I love all the little details - the shipwreck, the tavern (at least I hope that's what the Green Pilgrim is, it reminds me of the Inn of the Last Home from the Dragonlance novels), the sea creatures. What a great map!
Oh man, another awesome old-school artist. Very impressive piece!
