Kudo's for trying to model something!

Most 3D modeling programs are immensely frustrating to me, probably because I lack the patience it requires to do anything worthwhile.

    Post Nice model, Paulo

    Nice model, Paulo.

You like Wings 3D? I got too comfortable with Nendo, but very much like Wings 3D, I hear. Subdivisional modelling like this can be fun.

This is starting to look outstanding joao. I can't wait to see the station fleshed out with a skin/texture/colors. The planet might need some landmasses as well but very nice job so far.

    Yeah looking good.

I didn't recognize the app and I havent used Wings. Looks quite capable tho.

I see its doing the UV unwrap which is clever and allows you to paint a detailed texture map. You have to remember that the challenge is for a map not just a bit of art tho.

My only criticism at this stage is that I can see the planet polygons as flat edges. But its early days and its going well.

Yes, the wings3d can not be recommended for this task, but is serving very well right now.

The work with the texture will take some time yet.

And the planet was just a test
    needs more polygons, of course.

Maybe do it as a plan of the station was the most correct for that challenge.

    Thanks for comments...
    ...and back to work.
