Very nice effect you got there for the land, D! And the colors are just great .
The problem I alway found with those circle shaped maps is that you have plenty of space to fill on the frame... But I'm confident you'll find some great stuff to place there .

Yeah, I have some ideas, just speculative right now, of what will go in those corners. I want to do a small regional map there (!) but I may run out of time. We'll see what we see.

I got a large chunk knocked out tonight! Started naming stuff, including Dwervaland and Zulkaland, the two great dwarven homelands, where the dozens of nomadic tribes graze their buffalo and follow the routes laid out by their rain-making shamans.

I lowered the opacity on the terrain by about 10%, just enough to make out the labels a bit better. I also increased the size of the attachment to 66% (it was at 50% before), so you can make out stuff a bit better. May have to shrink it again later though if the file size gets too big.

I like the different approach by makikng a round world map with this style. Looks really fresh and interesting.
If i may ask, how do you do your maps? Is it a texture drawing ?

Have you considered using spherize after you're done to get a globe effect?
I did a quick run through and I think it would look awesome.
I can show you that, if you're interested. It looks very cool as a globe.

I like it as is, but I'd certainly be interested in seeing it with a globe effect! The rune-encircled no-go area and ley lines look fantastic.
