    This map has really blossomed!
Quite a variety of shops and 'other establishments'.

A couple of things jumped out at me:
    - the shop in the upper left with the display cases might benefit from a desk and chair for the proprietor.
    - the bakery also looks a little empty; maybe shelves or a table of baked goods waiting for sale or delivery.
    - the leather work shop might benefit from a table and chairs in the front (for cronies to hang out). Or a desk and chair.
    - the two places above the brothel have large empty areas. Carpets might help.

And most of the buildings only have a single entrance/exit.
Modern building inspectors would be very upset!

For the border, I'd be tempted to go with a simple geometry design. The map already contains so many textures...
Or perhaps a rock border, but with the rocks on a much larger scale than the other textures in the map. And a different color

I'm liking this map. It's shaping up nicely.

Thanks bkh, lots of great ideas there. I've started implementing them already.
    Check out this update.

I've only now had time to take a look at these challenge entries and I am LOVING this one! I've always been a huge fan of your top-down map elements and this is a wonderful way to showcase all of the details. The cobblestone is a delightful touch.

I always love wandering through your maps and looking at all of the details.
All the little bits on tables and hidden in corners.
Like the stuff in the glass cabinets.

Thanks J.Edward! I do like a lot of details. Probably 75% of the objects and textures in the map were made by me, but I can't take specific credit for those larger glass cases with the adventuring gear inside them. Those were made by one of my old friends from DundJinni, Cisticola. He's the one who pushed me to do more with my maps by using shadows and lighting effects.

An update with more shadows, most of the top half is done. And I changed some of the floor textures.

Mr. B should not be allowed to do battle maps anymore. Seriously speaking though, this looks great. So many little details, and none of them overwhelming each other. Great work.

Thanks, glad you are liking the map! My secret is that I don't really create these maps, I just find a great town or dungeon and then I fly my drone over it taking pictures.
