Default Anor Londo - Lordan (Dark Souls)

    Hi Guild !

Here is the final version of the Dark Souls' map I started a couple of months ago (already o_o), and the most recent entry of my "known universes" series.
This one was a real challenge, in that way it's probably the most complex perspective map I ever drew, and I think I learned a lot here.
I know there is many fans of the game here, so I want to apologize if there is anything wrong or misplaced. I never played the game myself and just worked from the instructions of my client which had a very precise idea of what to include and where. Don't hate me !

    Usual information :
    - Commissioned work for TheHighlandLoch,
    - A3 size,
    - Hand drawn in Photoshop using a Wacom Cintiq Pro 16,
    - WIP thread here.

Hope you'll like it, guys !

You rock, Misty! This is awesome, I can't believe how detailed it is. Indescribable!
Looks like I must spread some rep first, I'll be back.

Fantastic and inspiring! I have loved to see the WIP and the final result is even better than what I'd have expected.
The foggy effect in some parts is just such an excellent idea.

Haha, thanks a lot, Kell ! I must say it's rarely such a pleasure to deliver a map : this one was stressful from the start to the end, for various reasons ! ^^

Thank you so much, J. !
Don't be fooled by the soft colors : you definitely don't want to explore this world ! Those people are crazy, and every single step can be the last one

I'm very happy if you enjoyed the WIP ^^
Thanks for the fog. It's the first time I do something like this, and I'm pretty happy about the result

I can't say the perspective was... easy. Hell no. But I learned a lot and I feel more confident now. I'm currently starting a new project for which I'm building a castle in perspective (just a regular 2-points perspective, not this evil 3-points...) and it's way more detailed, and way easier than what I would have been able to do before Dark Souls. But I assume we learn something with every map !

Stunning map! It's so cool to have a map of a world that, if you've played the game, you know very well, and yet not. The Dark Souls series has the most awe-unspiring level-design in any videogame. It's intricate and confusing, yet hints at an enormous world that we see only a fraction of.
As with your previous maps, I love the tiny characters dotted around the landscape. It's like Where's Waldo.
And yeah, the perspective must've made drawing this super complex. I could never make a map like this. Which is why I stick to the top-down perspective for my maps.
    Great job!
