I've RPed drunkenly while singing in a tavern. Does that count for anything?

One's worth is not measured by stature, alone. By heart and honor is One's true value weighed.

Good man! But you should XP for carousing anyway.

I'd say at least 5,000 XP.

I'm not participating in NaNoWriMo, but I've been working at my novel since july. Does that still allow me to take part and map my world?

I should at least think it would be okay, as long as you haven't started working on the map itself sooner than that? Can't say for sure, but that's just how my logic would handle this. I'm sure one of the CL's can confirm or deny.

    Yeah, I haven't started it.
Even if the CL's accept, I'm not sure if I'll enter, as I can't scan a3...

You absolutely can, it's about the map not the story. Some may do maps of novels that have been written for years. So the only rule is you start the Map in the month of the challenges.

I've done items bigger than my scanner and you can scan it in pieces and cobble it back together in the digital realm or use a digital photo. It's a bit of a challenge but doable. It's pretty easy to line up pixels in photoshop.

I hope you decide to join in, MMM. It'd be fun to see what you come up with.

I'm kinda tempted to join in myself. I don't have a novel, just a couple of paragraphs of text like you might see on the back of a paperback, but that should be enough for the challenge. Of course, whether I can get my butt in gear in time....

Ah, thanks Jaxilon! If I do enter, I'll have to practice a few stitching techniques first, or I might go mad lol.
Thanks chickpea - I hope I'll enter too heh. A few paragraphs are enough for a story I'm sure

Of course you can do a map for a novel years in the making! And yes, a few paragraphs are plenty
