That looks wonderful! I love the way you did the dunes in the desert and the clouds blocking the west are fantastic.
Hello fellow guilders,
Here’s a map that was commissioned for a LARP in Florida. As it is meant to be an in game prop it’s pretty large (12 x 24 ’’) and it was really pleasant to draw. I had plenty of room to experiment and, while I was afraid of a clash of styles between the different parts, it came out consistent enough for my eye. It was meant as a sepia map but I couldn’t resist adding warmer colors and going for a blue sea when it was initially meant to be parchment color with a hint of blue and the client rolled with it.
If you live near Tallahassee and want to take a look you can have more informations here and here.
A fun part was the outer limits of the map. The client’s sketch did not stretch this far and he asked me to imagine things blocking the exploration in the East and West. There are things hidden in the mist and maybe they’ll be shown at one point but not even the client knows what lies here
Enough chatter, here comes the map !

Nicely done! I have to agree with Gidde on the dunes and the clouds they certainly are fantastic.
A beautiful map for sure. The desert's especially nicely done and in a different style from any I've seen before.

I make use of Wag's mountain brushes.
I was going to mention the desert, but others have said it already: it looks great, Thom. I think the compass is actually my favourite part.

Love the icons, and as the others said, the clouds are a nice touch too! Great job!
Clouds, clouds, clouds!
...Not just the clouds though, the whole thing looks great! Love the colours, the desert and the font.
Have to echo my fellow cartographers, I love the dunes on the desert! There is a beautiful swirling quality to them, you can almost see them shifting in the strong wasteland winds. Nice work on this, Thom. The ocean texturing is glorious!

Wonderful map, Thomas, the clients must be thrilled! I bet it looks terrific as a large prop. Such great colors and details.
The desert is really my favorite part. It stands out so well in style.
