Question Equal Earth Projection and FT3/Wilbur Questions

This account is too new so I can't PM yet.

Also, I already posted this hours ago and the post disappeared...

@Waldronate is there any way to add this new map projection into FT3 or Wilbur?

Also, is there a way to make lat/long lines less pixelated when exporting maps from FT3?

    Thanks!

If I can find both forward and backward projection formulae, it's possible to add them in the next software version. I wouldn't expect to see it in an FT release for at least five months, though. The Wagner IV projection is quite similar to the Equal Earth projection and might make a workable substitute for many purposes:

The simplest way to make the lat/lon lines less pixelated when exporting maps from FT3 is to export a map at higher resolution than your desired final image (a factor of 2 is usually good) and then reduce the size using something like Photoshop or The GIMP. http://fracterra.com/CGTutorial/index.html shows what such a result might look like at the top of the page.

Your last post was caught in the moderation queue. We do get around to looking at them, but it may take longer than expected during the darker parts of the year.
