Continent Areu

Hey everyone!
So I just joined this amazing community and here is my very first map I made. It was crafted in Gimp.

A friend of mine wanted to launch a Pen-and-paper-campaign in his own set of lore, thus his own world. He already made a hand drawn sketch on two a4-sites, glued together. For this map should be an ingame-item the players would use to get around. And I want to be one of them.
So he gave me his sketch and few information: A mediterranean/subtropical continent named "Areu" populated by humans, elfs, dwarfs, undead and many more fantasy creatures, waiting to be discovered. Most of the names my friend did already invent which brings this mixed toponymy and I did not want to mess with his game-preparations.

This is the little information I can give you.

Nice first map! I love that font, and the town icons are great. I'd love to see some depth shading on the mountains and a bit sharper coastline on the next one.

Always good to see more roleplayers

I looked at the labels and see German stuff, so here goes ... Insgesamt mag ich den Vibe der Karte! Ich würde diese Welt via Rollenspiel auf jeden Fall entdecken wollen. Irgendwie scheint mir aber einiges ziemlich unscharf zu sein. Da könntest du allenfalls noch dran arbeiten. Ich bin der gleichen Meinung wie Gidde, die Stadt-Icons sind super. Die Schrift mag ich hingegen nicht wirklich...es ist zum Teil recht schwer zu lesen.
Was mich noch interessieren würde: was ist das Gelbe? Wälder? Kornfelder? Oder was Fantastisches aus der "Braustube" deines Kumpels?

Die gelben/goldenen Felder sind genau das, Felder bzw. Symbol für kultiviertes Land. Aber hab ja noch nicht gespielt, also mal sehen was mein Kumpel draus macht...
