Coming along nicely! I'd be scared ****less coloring on paper, Ctrl+Z has spoiled me
This was my entry for the July challenge, which unfortunately I was not able to set the time aside to finish. There were more than a few rep comments that kept my inspiration going for this one, plus I may just have use of it for a new Pathfinder group that I'm formulating with some close friends.

I really couldn't stand to see it without color anymore, so huzzah! The coloring has begun! Naming and the birth of geography are right around the corner..
I hope you enjoy!

Great work so far! Can't wait to see it finished.

It can be touchy at times, that is for sure. I'm the polar opposite, I've never done map work in any digital fashion, I've always drawn them. I'm glad you like it, thank you!
Me neither! My time has been soaked up recently, so it's been slow going.. but I may have started on the geography Thank you, nopkin!
I really like working with colored pencil (although I use them mostly for portraits and scarcely for maps), so it's lovely to see someone else working with them. And your colors look very nice so far. The turquoise shade for the ocean fits the arctic theme perfectly.
I'm glad someone else out there enjoys them, they are sort of archaic in the digital world we find ourselves in. I was really excited to see the result of the turquoise/teal color, and I had the same thoughts! So glad someone else feels that it gave an arctic feel! It's cold as sin up there after all.

Form of: sneaky update!

Not a huge amount has changed, though I was happy with how the compass turned out, a total wing job, but I think it compliments the icy feel well.
Huzzah! I've always wanted to name a city after this word, and so I did.
Much more to come, chilly cheers!

Resurrection!
I've been so busy with other crafts, hobbies, and projects, cartography being just one of many that tends to take a back seat depending on my life and whims, but I've wrapped back around to this beauty!

The geological fabrication has been slow going with my schedule, but has been churning out fairly well, aside from some no-no river fubs that I had to go back through and correct, as to not anger the river gods.
Finally couldn't stand to see it with more bland white than color, so I caved and decided to pencil in the major ocean blue that now dominates the piece. I may start working on some greens, especially with forest placement, just to get a feel for how I want to leave a bit a sparceness in what I feel like has become my dense style of cramming every centimeter I can with detail.
Otherwise just having fun with the progression, I hope you enjoy.
