Default Dec '18 / Feb '19 Lite Challenge: Tomb of the Sleeping King

Good grief, we're two weeks into January! When did that happen? I'd better get cracking.

I've always admired isometric dungeon maps, so I thought I'd use this challenge to attempt one myself. Not a lot to see at the moment, mostly me trying to get my head around isometric space and the way rooms overlap each other. I'm hoping to add another floor, but I need to work out how best to place it.

    Anyway, here's wip 1:

Thanks for the kind words folks

If nothing else, this challenge has given me a new level of respect for anybody that does a lot of isometric dungeon maps. I always thought I had a good grasp of 3D space, but I've lost track of the number of times I've had to erase and redraw walls and floors! Anyway, enough grumbling and onto the map. I've added a lower level and while there are a few bits and pieces left to do (such as the secret entrance to the stairs, and finalizing the last chamber) I think the layout is pretty much done, but please let me know if you find it hard to read. Now it's time to move onto the detail and start adding architectural features and the odd bit of rubble.

I haven't been able to work on this as much as I would have liked, so not a huge difference between this WIP and the last, but slowly plodding along.

Actually that looks like a substantial difference, lots more details. Looks great. I like that you have to go into the pit trap to find the secret passage to the final chamber.

Thanks Bogie. I'm glad you spotted the passage as I was worried that area may be too confusing to read. I'm hoping to add a few more traps, but I'm trying to decide the best way to show them.
