Hi friends!!
So I only just finished my Vystrigg Harbour "cube" and decided to do something similar, but with a regional map this time! The map shows a region where a number of large islands almost touch, creating a bustling inner sea with port cities from different nations, and a series of narrow straits leading to larger seas beyond the map. The map is intended as a sort of visual aid for captains unfamiliar with the area.
For this experiment I'll be trying to depart a little bit from my usual style—with more realistic mountains, while still maintaining a similar level of detail (and a bit of the silliness of my Vystrigg map to top it all off).
So here's the sketch:

And this is how far I got during yesterday's evening and today's morning commute. Long live long train rides, right?

Nice! I love this kind of perspective... and the "cut" on the borders too! You could put in caves, too!
Thanks Karl!!
Oh there are going to be! I'm thinking of that landmass to the left, some of the caves partially submerged. I'll have to be subtle about it though, I already dislike the harsh lines on that magma chamber (which I'll probably redo).

Great start and a wonderful concept indeed!
Ooh, this should be interesting! Loving the linework already.
Oh neat, I really like the addition of the volcano type innards on the side
Oooh, this one will be super interesting to see ! Can't wait for the next steps !
(Just... what about some groundwater somewhere ?)
Great start, it's gonna be a good one !

Not willingly, you are following your Tavernier's run. He does those kind of maps for his settings but I suspect you're better than him for regional maps And I love what I see !
