    Post Maps are so beautiful!

    Hiya,

So i'm new to the map drawing world, but I've always had an interest in them, looking through road maps, old maps of towns and countries, atlases, and more recently tabletop game maps. There is just something amazing and beautiful about all the little details that go into them.

A friend recommended this forum to me as a good place for research and advice, and for me to practise, as I have just started drawing a map for my previous D&D game to show the travels that the players took through the whole adventure. Really enjoying it so far, but would like to learn how to use different styles to produce different maps, which i hope to learn by browsing this forum, both using Photoshop and with pen and ink art.

And now to browse these forums some more so that I can be jealous of the skills you all have

    From a Fellow Map Admirer.

    Nyx

He is a wise friend! Though I try not to tell him that too often

I certainly will when it is finished. I'm loving how it looks so far.

Thanks! Do love my screen name. Considering I do a lot of my art stuff in the evenings when it is dark, it seemed apt to have a name based off the Goddess of the night! lol
