That's gorgeous Caenwyr, so glad to see this finished.
Everything about this is amazing, the perspective, sea, labels, caves, map inset, all of it!

I only think that if the rivers were blue it would be a nicer continuity between them and the sea. Not a big thing, but that's the only critique I can think of

    Awesome work, as always.

"but none have ever returned" (missing "e")
    "The Zark Empire" (capitalization needed)

"Krit City" is not described, but it sounds dangerous.

Is it a giant monument, or was Ashreen really that big? I mean, sure, the guy who said it was life-sized was pretty drunk and maybe a little touched in the head, but he sounded convincing.

I love the drawings, but I do have one quibble about the geography. Those dunes seem awfully close to that canyon. It kind of seems like the canyon would fill up with sand. Of course, there are plenty of ways to account for it not doing so, but you might want to include a visible buffer area between two such areas if you don't want to invoke the supernatural.

I think this is going to be a competitor in the next Atlas Awards.

If river colour is your only issue I am a very happy man! Thanks!

Thanks for pointing out the typos, rdanhenry! Krit City is just your regular harbour town, nothing special about it, although it does sound exciting! Ashreen too was just a regularly sized dude as far as we know, but man was he grand! Also, never underestimate a drunk - they often tell the truth, even if it's only things like "Whoops, looks like I'm gonna barf". It's wise not to ignore such wise words when said while facing you.

Ah the dunes! No worries about them choking up the canyon, they are not really drawn at scale. They're more like elaborate pictograms stating "here be dunes", much like the canyon itself, and even the cities and other landmarks for that matter! I like to think of this out-of-scaliness as a way of simplifying things, a bit like those nice-looking (but very unrealistic) maps of amusement parks, with overly large ISO attractions drawn on top of a top-down map. Here at least I tried to draw the map itself ISO too, which hopefully adds some consistency.

All in all thanks for your helpful (and fun) remarks! I used them to change my final version, which you can find here.
