Welcome, nice place Montreal. Theres a good mix of hand drawn and digi stuff around here. I quite like to look at either but I am not so hot with drawing. If your handy with a pen tho then a flatbed scanner or tablet is a good idea.
Howdy folks
First post was a while ago when I asked for input on hand drawing terrain features. Got some good advice but have yet to get the ol' hand-eye coordination to work it right.
I do prefer drawing maps by hand, but have resigned myself to doing the rest by comp. That was when I found the tut by RobA about regional map making. THAT got me to down load GimP (that was last night) and now I am trying to get the prog to work right...... (it may be that it is just me...)
Beyond all that, I have been a map geek since the early eighties, have a small collection going. Even had some old hand drawn Topo maps until they got lost in a move .
I have been enjoying the feel of the site and have shown it to whomever I think might be interested.
