Default Hi! I'm the new kid....

    Hello!
My name is Josh though most people call me Bigguy.

I have collected maps for decades and have some maps in my possession that are over 100 years old.

I have been doing small time map commissions for a couple years now through various platforms and finally found my way here.
I tend to draw in a Lord of The Rings Map style.
    I am in South Texas.

Welcome to the guild. A map collector that's interesting. I hope you share some of your historical maps as well as your original art.

Sadly they are huge and very brittle...I will one day find a huge flatbed scanner and get them scanned, but until then....I may be able to take a picture of a few

    Welcome,

If your maps are brittle then I would advise against a flat bed. You can use a digital camera and we had some neat posts about combining images together not that long ago. Hugin and Nip2 came out on top as useful free programs to do that job.
