Map The Lands of Desnia by Jared Blando

    Hey All,

Haven't posted in a while, but wanted to share a B/W map I painted up about a year ago with my Ipad Pro and Apple Pencil.

The map was commissioned by the author Austin Rehl for his Sihlat Book series, and is basically a traditional fantasy map.

Digital inks and drawn in Procreate, the pencil gave me a much greater degree of control over my work, and it felt quite good!

I like it! It's a very heavy-looking one. With all those blacks, gothic typography and spikes makes me wonder if the books are about grim dark stories. Really nice work.

Procreate is so great now with all the new features as the quickshape and the font adding!!

As impressive as ever. No-one does a B/W map as you do, I love this style so much.

Beautiful work as always Jared, your B&W work is just as impressive as your color work.

Very nice work Blando! Could fit very well inside the cover of a novel.
